So much to do

With 10 years of dreaming and 4 years of saving behind me, it is now 16 days until take-off. Yes, I have yet another countdown calendar.

The motorhome - I call her "Minerva" - is at the dealership for a once-over. Next week, she'll get the mechanical checks. My bedroom looks like a second-hand store (a very messy one) as I marshall the "must-take" items. The do-list seems to be getting longer instead of shorter!

So much to do, so little time! To everyone who is wishing me well, I assure you I'm already having more fun than even I imagined.

    I'm so happy for you and extremely jealous as I "motor" into work everyday. It will be fun to hear your stories and vicariously live the vacation / adventure life! I'll keep you posted on more government horror stories.
